Who We Are

RRCats is the online catalytic converter buying division of Rockaway Recycling, a family-owned and operated scrap yard that’s been in business for over 40 years. Our facility is located in Rockaway, NJ, and since 2013, we’ve been helping customers across the U.S. get fair prices for their scrap converters, O2 sensors, and other materials.

We aren’t a pop-up operation or a third-party middleman — we’re real people with a real facility who have built a reputation for honest recycling practices.

How the RRCats Process Works

We’ve simplified the converter-selling process to make it easy, secure, and fully trackable:

1. Get a Quote

Send us photos of your catalytic converter or the serial number via our website or by texting us. We reply quickly with a no-obligation quote.

2. Free Shipping

Once you accept the quote, we’ll send you a free shipping label. You box it up and drop it off — we handle the rest.

3. Item Received & Verified

We record videos and photos of the package opening and inspection when your material arrives for full transparency.

4. Processing & Final Review

Our team confirms the part and value. If the item matches the quote, we finalize the transaction. If there’s a difference, we contact you first.

5. Fast Payment

Once verified, you are paid via PayPal, check, or ACH, often within 1-2 business days.

What Happens After You Ship?

We treat your package with care the moment it arrives. Every item is:

  • Photographed and documented

  • Matched to your quote

  • Processed with safety and accuracy

  • Communicated back to you promptly

If something doesn’t match — like an aftermarket part sent in place of an OEM converter — we’ll reach out before taking any action. We believe in fairness, not surprises.

Customer Testimonials

Don’t just take our word for it — here’s what some of our customers have said:

“Great place to sell cats to super easy process and they paid fast” – Bill M.

“Easy to work with. Very helpful. Fast and prompt service” – Tad P.

“Easy process, don’t let the boneyard keep your cats. Get top dollar from this place!” Tim S.
