Identifying Infiniti Catalytic Converters for Scrap

How to Identify and Sell Infiniti Catalytic Converters with RRCats

Infiniti Logo

When identifying Infiniti catalytic converters, be sure to look for a stamped serial number. Infiniti converters are often part of a two- to four-cat system, meaning multiple units may be installed on the same vehicle. Some setups even include two converters combined into a single housing, which can affect how they are graded and quoted.

Because Infiniti shares many converter types and serial patterns with Nissan, you may also want to check our Nissan converter identification guide for related information and serial formats.

Common Serial Numbers on Infiniti Cats

Serial numbers are typically found right below the Infinit name and consist of letter and numeric sequences.

Examples of some of the Serial Numbers found on Infiniti:

  • X3
  • X5
  • JA3L5

Some Infiniti catalytic converters have shields that resemble cheese graters (see picture below).
